Syd Libsack

Co-Founder & Chief Executive Officer

Syd Libsack is Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Rhyze Solutions, leading the company’s culture, strategic vision, and development. With 25 years of experience in the financial services industry, Syd has spent the majority of that time building and managing lending programs for and in partnership with credit unions, banks, pension funds, insurance companies, and asset managers.

Prior to Rhyze, Syd was the Co-Founder and President of Symmetry Lending, a Credit Union Service Organization built for loan origination, servicing, and capital markets functions for consumer HELOCs. Under Syd’s leadership, the company grew to be one of the nation’s largest non-bank HELOC providers with over 200 employees, more than 160 financial institution network partners, and a multibillion-dollar portfolio.

Spending his childhood on an agricultural farm in western Nebraska, Syd’s entrepreneurial spirit is foundationally built on an intense work ethic that is supported by faith, family, and friends.

Chelsea Feliciano

Co-Founder, President & Chief Administrative Officer

As President & Chief Administrative Officer of Rhyze Solutions, Chelsea leads the team with her passionate vision for delivering capital markets solutions with a white-glove experience. Chelsea’s expertise in all areas of lending, servicing, credit administration, and capital markets is derived from her experience on both sides of the loan-trading relationship. This deep-rooted understanding of our customers’ needs is the foundation of her leadership among the internal and external partners of Rhyze.

Prior to co-founding Rhyze Solutions, Chelsea was Co-founder and SVP Capital Markets for Symmetry Lending, responsible for all liquidity planning, master servicing, loan trading, and relationship management of Symmetry's capital markets partners.

Before her entrepreneurial endeavors, Chelsea spent several years working in the banking and lending environment. Working alongside Syd, Chelsea was instrumental in building the loan sales platform for TCF National Bank. That platform facilitated hundreds of transactions, including whole loan sales, participations, and securitizations, creating dozens of long-term market relationships throughout the country. Similarly, Chelsea was an integral part of establishing and growing the loan trading activities for Alliant Credit Union and Delta Community Credit Union.

Dan Putz

Chief Technology Officer

As Chief Technology Officer, Dan brings over 20 years of experience in technology as a strategic, transformative builder with a strong record of leading teams to deliver business impact through digital transformations and developing enterprise technology platforms.

Prior to Rhyze, Dan held several Digital and Technology leadership roles at Alliant Credit Union. Most recently he was Head of Digital, leading digital banking strategy, product management and user experience across all digital channels including online/mobile banking and loan origination platforms. Dan joined Alliant CU as Vice President of Technology Strategy and Transformation where he integrated business and technology strategy to maximize impact and led functions across software engineering and architecture, core banking, data engineering and analytics, and agile delivery for the credit union.

Dan’s technology experience spans diverse industries and companies and includes technology leadership positions at GE, United Airlines and PwC. Dan’s career started at GE Capital where he spent 10 years as a technology leader across commercial lending and retail banking businesses and was instrumental in the development and launch of an online retail bank.

Dan holds an MBA from Northwestern University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Information Systems from Purdue University.

Bjorn Peterson

Managing Director of Rhyze Residential

As Managing Director of Rhyze Residential, Bjorn brings over 25 years of knowledge and experience in both Retail and TPO loan production. After 18 years at TCF Bank, where he was instrumental in the development and launch of their National TPO HELOC channel, Peterson spent 6 years as a builder and senior executive of Symmetry Lending. These experiences have shaped his deep understanding of creating products and programs through collaboration with all parties that touch a loan along its journey. Bjorn also has a strong track record and commitment to building high-performing teams that focus on quality execution and service to all their partners.

Cory Schwab

Co-Founder & Managing Director,
Rhyze Commercial & Rhyze Loan Servicing

As Managing Director, Rhyze Commercial & Rhyze Loan Servicing, Cory offers over 25 years of experience across several functional areas within financial organizations of various size, complexity, and condition. His thorough understanding of regulatory and operational landscapes supports partner relationships through comprehensive discussions, timely communications, and maintenance of rigorous operational standards.

Prior to co-founding Rhyze Solutions, Cory was instrumental in the launch and served as the Chief Risk and Compliance Officer for Symmetry Lending. He was primarily responsible for developing and leading the master servicing, compliance, quality control, risk analysis, and vendor management teams in support of the company’s strategic objectives.

Cory began his career as an examiner for the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, then transitioned into a Director of Risk Management with RSM US LLC. Beginning in 2009, Cory spent nearly a decade as an executive with two of the largest west-coast credit unions. First, serving as Vice President of Commercial and Secondary Market Loans at Patelco Credit Union where he managed the accumulation and oversight one of the largest and most active participation purchase portfolios in the country. Then serving as Chief Risk Officer at Global Credit Union (formerly Alaska USA Federal Credit Union).

Tris Lingen

Chief Risk & Information Security Officer

Tris has a 35+ year career in the Information Security and Risk Management disciplines. Prior to joining Rhyze, Tris began her career as a National Bank Examiner for the Comptroller of Currency. She then joined Ernst and Young as an Information Security consultant for financial and health care sector clients which led to her various roles as an industry Cybersecurity leader. Her most recent roles have included Chief Information Security Officer at two global manufacturing organizations and a national banking financial organization.

Combining her extensive cybersecurity and financial security risk management experience, Tris is well positioned to help guide Rhyze on our growth journey.

Denise Sorrells

Co-Founder & Director, Capital Markets Operations

Denise has 15+ years of experience in capital markets, specializing in portfolio oversight, securitizations, whole loan and participation trades, and investor reporting in both the automobile and mortgage industries, all with multibillion-dollar portfolios.

Most recently, Denise served as SVP, Investor Reporting for the Capital Markets Department of a national lending company. In her role, she led a team dedicated to delivering and continually building upon the company’s reputation with its partners.

Her knowledge, commitment, and integrity have paved way for very strong and reputable partner relationships within the financial industry. She holds an MBA in Business Management and a BA in Business Administration with an emphasis in Management Information Systems (MIS).

She is a dedicated, hands-on financial leader with over 30 years of industry experience and is always looking for the opportunity to enhance the partner experience.

Matt Cook

Co-Founder & Director, FP&A

Matt has a robust and diverse Finance and Technology career spanning 20+ years. His experience in the industry has provided him with skillsets that include Fixed Income Analytics, Accounting, and Financial Reporting, accompanied by an acumen for Technology, Infrastructure, and Development in various Information Systems.

His true passion is for Data and turning Data from information into actionable strategic insight. This passion, accompanied by his visionary skillsets in technology, naturally put him in a place of leadership for the areas of Business Intelligence and Data Analytics.

Most recently, Matt was the VP of Business Intelligence for a national lending company, where he assisted in the design and build of the Data Infrastructure including the Data Warehouse, Business Intelligence, Finance Planning, and Modeling.

Eric Ruch

Director, Commercial Lending

As Director of Commercial Lending, Eric offers more than 25 years of experience in nationwide commercial lending. With extensive knowledge of banking, finance, and commercial lending strategies, he is an adaptable and transformational leader skilled in anticipating and solving complex matters, demonstrating exceptional communication skills, and making critical decisions.

Prior to joining Rhyze, Eric was a Senior Vice President with Pinnacle Bank. He was responsible for providing excellent service, managing a portfolio of existing clients, and development of new business opportunities through aggressive solicitation of identified qualified prospects.

In 2001, Eric joined Coastal Federal CU and spent 20 years working in a national commercial mortgage banking platform. He collaborated with senior management to implement strategies to achieve Coastal’s goals. During that time, Eric also entered the Mortgage Bankers Association accreditation program, where he earned the designation Certified Mortgage Banker (CMB).

Jarrett Settles

Director, Capital Markets Development

As Director, Capital Markets Development of Rhyze Solutions, Jarrett leads the delivery of Rhyze products and services to our rapidly expanding network of financial institution partners. His unique approach to building long term, high value capital markets partnerships has led to the access and deployment of billions of dollars in liquidity across a wide span of credit union, bank, and financial institution partners.
